NSW / ACT BONE MINERAL DENSITOMETRY CLUB

OUR mission statement is

To establish a support network for clinicians, technical and scientific staff who perform or are interested in BMD measured by DEXA.
To create a trouble shooting and educational forum.
To discuss common problems encountered in routine clinical practice and clinical studies
To invite guest speakers to promote education, standardisation and communication amongst members
To help implement practice guidelines that promote best practice & standards and uniform quality assurance across the group / network

Liaison with National & International Bone Mineral & Densitometry Societies

Support from manufacturers and industry representatives

PARTICIPATION

Open to all clinicians, scientists, technologists, radiographers and who work in the field or are interested in knowing more about bone densitometry.

Radiographers attending meetings are awarded 1 CPD point per hour by the Australian Institute of Radiography.

Nuclear Medicine technologists are awarded 1 CPD point per meeting by ANZNMS and additional point when presenting.
